Testimonials from Clients

We had a wonderful experience with Rebekah as our doula for the birth of our twin boys! It was a VBAC and Charlotte's first vaginal delivery, so there were a lot of unknowns for us as we were walking in. Rebekah was so helpful in our entire labor process, coming alongside us and helping us know what to expect and how to respond. Ultimately, she helped us to achieve the unmedicated twin VBAC that we were hoping for! We are thankful for her knowledge and skills, and will definitely be using her for future deliveries!- Luke and Charlotte O'Melia

"Rebekah has been our doula twice now.  While both of our births were drastically different experiences, Rebekah was there through it all, patiently supporting, affirming, and, in the case of our first birth, gently guiding two new parents through this amazing journey with grace and wisdom, from prenatal anticipation to the postpartum snuggles.  Her knowledge and experience helped to build our confidence going into labor and her calm and gentle spirit were such gifts in the delivery room.  The way in which Rebekah respected our birth goals allowed her to advocate in the moment with us, along with helping to give clear and detailed explanations for any decisions that needed to be made.

Having Rebekah as our doula for our first child was such a comfort as we navigated all of the newness.  Having Rebekah as our doula for our second child led us to a more knowledgeable, and empowering birth experience.  Her steadiness, compassion, and encouragement make having her as our doula for future births an absolute must!

"My husband and I really wanted to have as natural a birth as possible and even considered a home birth.  However, given where we live, a hospital was best for us and ultimately what we were most comfortable with for our first baby.  Because we were still hoping for a natural birth, we wanted someone other than hospital staff with us when "baby time" came.  Rebekah was the perfect extra person.  She was a helpful voice when we asked her questions and ultimately supported and encouraged our desires every step of the way.  She was so helpful during labor and contributed to a calming atmosphere in the room.  Soon after our daughter's birth, we agreed that Rebekah would have to be with us for any future babies, as we wouldn't want to do it without her!" - Emily G.

"Having a doula with me is a must for birthing well.  Rebekah's gentle presence and intuitive ways of helping me manage were a blessing beyond words.  She was unobtrusive when it was clear I needed space, and then right there with me when I needed her.  Her calm heart and steady hands helped soothe away the waves of labor.  She stayed after delivery to do a myriad of small helpful things to set baby and me up comfortably, further endearing her to me as a most wonderful doula."

"I was looking for a doula because I wanted someone who could support a natural and positive delivery for the birth of my third child after not feeling prepared for my first two. I found Rebekah through a friend and I couldn’t be happier that she was my doula! I felt an immediate connection with her; she treated me as a friend and more. She helped me prepare for birth with stretches and exercises, helping me get a birth plan and a playlist ready, answering all my questions, and most importantly giving me confidence and peace that I had her in my corner. During the delivery, she helped me understand my options and choose with confidence what I wanted. She guided my positioning and coached me through the whole thing, helping me to achieve my goal of a beautiful, natural childbirth with no pain medication (which I had not been able to do before). She is very attuned to the situation and whether to advise, advocate, or step back; she was wonderful! It was the confidence that Rebekah gave me that made the difference.  Afterward, Rebekah followed up with me to make sure my recovery was going great! I highly recommend her to anyone!"

"Rebekah was my birth doula for my 2nd child and I could not more strongly recommend her. Rebekah is a consistently clear communicator and is very transparent and honest. She has a very calm and gracious presence, so every interaction with her is pleasant. Meeting with her for the prenatal visits was great because she not only helped educate but we got a good sense of who she is and we felt she was very actively listening and responding to our questions and concerns. Though she is clearly very knowledgeable, I appreciated that she never pretended to know everything and wouldn't shy away from other resources if needed.

I also really appreciated that Rebekah had very clear definitions of her role. While she is flexible and may step in to other roles if asked, she never overstepped any boundaries or tried to be a medical doctor when that isn't her area. But in knowing what we wanted, she would help emphasize our desires to medical professionals in a respectful way that was very effective.

I was extremely happy with my labor and delivery and Rebekah was a huge part of that success. She gave me the support and information I needed to fully support my birthing process and her presence during the delivery and in particular the pushing phase of labor was incredibly helpful. If you are looking for a birth doula who will take action and will quickly adjust as needed, Rebekah is perfect in the role. I would highly recommend Rebekah to any of my friends and family."
